Assembly of Candy Bag Toppers:

  1. Cut out the candy bag topper image with a paper cutter.
  2. Using a paper cutter, cut out a cardstock piece that is 4.25″ wide x 5.5″ high. You will get four equal rectangles from a regular 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock.
  3. Fold the cardstock piece in half to become 4.25″ wide x 2.75″ high.
  4. Using extra strength glue, glue the candy bag topper image to the cardstock piece. Make sure the top of the image is towards the fold.

Assembly of Candy Bags:

  1. I used 4″ x 6″ clear treat bags. If your bags are taller, you can cut your clear treat bag to remove any excess bag, preferably with a paper cutter. You want to ensure you have enough bag height to allow a couple of folds.
  2. Put the candy in the bag.
  3. Fold the top of the clear treat bag over on its-self a couple of times to lock in the freshness.
  4. Put the folded part of the treat bag inside the topper and close the topper. You should not see any folds from the front or back. The folds should be just above the bottom of the topper.
  5. While holding the topper closed, staple the topper into place. Staple the bottom left and right corners. Make sure the staples go through the folded part of the treat bag.
